The Ministry of National Education decided to establish the first perfection center in the field of plastic technology which is among the most important sectors of industry and used in many production sectors such as construction, medical instruments, automotive and packing at the First Organized Industrial Zone in Ankara (OSB).
Deputy Minister of National Education Mahmut Özer said that the Ministry of National Education has taken important steps in the reconstruction and reinforcement of vocational education in the last three years in line with the needs of the labor market.
Noting that the Ministry engaged in comprehensive cooperation agreements with strong representatives in all fields of industry, Özer pointed out that the Ministry has carried out many successful projects in vocational education in cooperation with trade associations.
Özer stressed that the Ministry focused on thematic cooperation agreements adding that they already established a new perfection center in İstanbul in the fields of welding and software.
Özer pointed out that plastic technology is among the top priority industries of the country and went on to say: "The plastic technology field is gradually expanding and its export capacity has flourished in recent years. In line with this development, the quality of human resources needs increases as well. Our cooperation agreement with PAGEV continues with great success in İstanbul and Gebze. Now, we are taking important steps in plastic technology in Ankara. We decided to establish the first perfection center in plastic technology in the First OSB in Ankara in cooperation with Serdar Plastic Ltd. There will be a R&D department in the center. Moreover, 3 Vocational and Technical Anatolian High Schools and vocational training centers located near to OSB will benefit from this center. Students will receive skill training and students will have the opportunity to attend professional improvement programs in the center. The perfection center will also provide scholarship support and priority in employment for students. Patent, useful model, design and brand activities in the field of plastic technology will be carried out jointly by students, teachers and the Serdar Plastic Ltd. "
Expressing his wish that the new perfection center in Ankara will be a blessing for all parties concerned, Özer thanked the General Manager and Executive Board President of Serdar Plastic Ltd. Serdar Tüfek for their cooperation.
