Income earned from the production of vocational high schools in the first 10 months of 2021 increased by 61 percent when compared to the same period of last year and reached 540 million liras. Therefore, the income of these schools in the first ten months of 2021 exceeded the income they earned in the entire 2020.
Stressing that transformation of vocational education aims at reinforcing training, production and employment cycle, Minister of National Education Mahmut Özer said, "One of the first steps we took within this context was increasing the production capacity of vocational high schools. Income earned from the production of vocational high schools in the first 10 months of 2021 increased by 61 percent when compared to the same period of last year and reached 540 million liras. Therefore, the income of these schools in the first ten months of 2021 exceeded the income they earned in 2020 and our target is to achieve a higher increase in our income until the end of 2021."
In 2020, income earned from the production of vocational high schools increased 100 percent in the last two years and exceeded 500 million and 197 million liras.
Minister of National Education Özer stated that first three cities where highest earning vocational high schools were located were İstanbul, Ankara and İzmir and added, "Vocational high schools in İstanbul earned 72 million and 361 thousand liras, schools in Ankara earned 53 million liras and schools in İzmir earned 28 million and 195 thousand liras."

İstanbul Büyükçekmece Kumburgaz Vocational and Technical Anatolia High School ranked first in the list of production capacity of schools with 10 million and 945 thousand lira income while Gaziantep Şahinbey Mehmet Rüştü Uzel Vocational and Technical Anatolia High School ranked second with 10 million and 237 thousand lira income and Şanlıurfa Karaköprü GAP Vocational and Technical Anatolia High School ranked third with 9 million and 407 thousand lira income.
