PRODUCTION CAPACITY OF VOCATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL INCREASED BY 200 PERCENT IN THE FIRST TWO MONTHS OF 2022

The Ministry of National Education continues to increase production capacity of vocational high schools which makes important contributions to assist students to improve their practice skills. Production income of vocational high schools reached 503 million 197 thousand and 847 liras in 2020. In 2021, production capacity income of vocational high schools increased by 131 percent when compared to the previous year and reached 1 billion 162 million and 574 liras.
 
The total income in January and February of 2022 increased by 200 percent and reached 197 million 957 thousand liras. The ministry aims at earning 1.5 billion liras from the production of vocational education.
 
Minister of National Education Mahmut Özer stated, "Our priority in the transformation in vocational education is to reinforce education, production and employment. One of the steps we had taken within this context was to increase the production capacity of vocational high schools. Revolving fund income of vocational and technical high schools during January and February of 2022 increased by 200 percent and reached 197 million and 957 thousand liras. Results revealed that we will easily achieve our annual goal."
 
The highest income comes from Istanbul, Ankara and Gaziantep
Noting that the top three provinces with the highest income from production in the first month of 2022 are Istanbul, Ankara and Gaziantep, respectively, Özer said, "Vocational and Technical High Schools in İstanbul earned 16.7 million liras, schools in Ankara earned 15 million liras and schools in Gaziantep earned 13,3 million liras.

Ankara Altındağ Vocational and Technical Anatolia High School ranked first with 4 million and 642 thousand liras in the list of highest production capacity while Gaziantep Şehitkamil Beylerbeyi Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School ranked second and Hatay Dörtyol Recep Atakaş Vocational and Technical Anatolia High School ranked third.
