MINISTER SELÇUK INAUGURATED THE STEAM CENTER IN AZERBAIJAN

Minister of National Education Ziya Selçuk visited Guba with his Azeri counterpart Emin Emrullayev as a part of his official contacts in Azerbaijan. Selçuk and Emrullayev inaugurated the STEAM center built by the Azerbaijani Ministry of Education.
 
The ministers visited the center and received information from the officials. Turkey's Ambassador in Baku Cahit Bağcı, Chairman of the Turkey and Azerbaijan Inter-parliamentary Fellowship Group and AK Party Deputy Şamil Ayrım accompanied the ministers during the inauguration.
 
Following the opening, Selçuk addressed the trainers and experts about the contributions of the Muslim world to science throughout history and said that countries which do not value science suffer from weaknesses. Selçuk stressed that Turkey is ready to the STEAM centers of Azerbaijan.
 
Meanwhile, Azerbaijani Minister of Education Emrullayev stated that they founded the second STEAM center and they are planning to establish 13 new centers in a short period of time. Emrullayev said they are sure that these centers will make an important contribution to the education life in Azerbaijan.
 
"We are ready to share our experience"
Minister of National Education Selçuk said relations between the two countries have reached a level that is full of action adding that, "From now on, centers like STEAM as well as other joint projects such as cooperation in vocational education and training of teachers will be among the top priority issues between the two countries. I believe that we will exchange experience and cooperate on these issues. We are ready to undertake all kinds of cooperation and share our experience".
 
Concerning cooperation plans between two countries in the new future, Selçuk went on to say: "We have some projects regarding vocational education at the high school level. We are working on the development of digital skills, raising technicians, certification of vocational high school students and giving world standard diplomas to the graduates. Our priority is to help our students develop their skills.
