The projects supported within the framework of EU Instrument for Pre-accession Assistance (IPA) were discussed during the meeting. 

Minister of National Education Mahmut Özer reminded that the Ministry and the EU have been making cooperation in many projects in the field of education adding that, "We give importance to joint projects in education about mutual learning, good practices and policies, information and experience exchange. We will continue to make cooperation as a part of the Strategic Framework for European Cooperation in Education and Training for new education areas and aftermath (2021- 2030)".

Mentioning about activities carried out within the context of IPA, Minister Özer said, "We have implemented many projects in an effort to increase the quality of our education services in all levels of basic and secondary education, life-long learning, vocational education and worked in order to increase continuation to education rates and we will continue to work within this framework."

Minister Özer stressed that the Ministry will continue to focus on equal opportunity in education in all of its activities and projects.

Meanwhile, the Head of EU Delegation to Turkey Ambassador Nikolaus Meyer-Landrut said the position of Ministry of National Education is an important responsibility and congratulated Minister Özer for his new post by adding that they want to maintain existing collaboration with the ministry.

Noting that they appreciate Turkey's efforts as a part of accession to education, Ambassador Meyer-Landrut said that they are ready to cooperate with the Ministry in vocational and preschool education projects. 

Deputy Minister Petek Aşkar, Director General for EU and Foreign Relations Burcu Eyisoy Dalkıran, Director General for Life-long Learning Sabahattin Dülger, Director General for Vocational and Technical Education Nazan Şener, Director General for Secondary Education H. İbrahim Topçu, Director General for Special Education and Guidance Services M. Nezir Gül and Director General for Basic Education Tuncay Morkoç attended the meeting held in the Ministry.
