Minister Özer expressed his happiness about activities carried out in cooperation with UNICEF till today and made comments about this collaboration.

Minister Özer stressed that they want to cooperate with UNICEF in terms of increasing equal opportunities in basic education, reinforcing vocational education and increasing the quality of teachers.

Meanwhile, Regional Director for Europe and Central Asia, Afshan Khan stated that UNICEF has carried out activities in cooperation with the Ministry of National Education especially on accession of Syrian children to education. Khan mentioned about Turkey's success in including Syrian children to formal education and said that UNICEF is ready to make further cooperation in various different projects.

Deputy Ministers Petek Aşkar and Sadri Şensoy, Director General for EU and Foreign Affairs Burce Eyisoy Dalkıran and UNICEF Representative to Turkey Regina De Dominicis were also present at the meeting.
