Noting that upon the instruction given by the Minister of National Education Mahmut Özer regarding the establishment of a center in Türkiye similar to the "World Horti Center" in the Netherlands, Deputy Minister Şensoy stated that they decided to take the first step in Aksu district of Antalya.
Şensoy emphasized that being the first in Türkiye, this center will be a technology area for education and research, and will also be an incubation where the leading companies of the sector will display their technologies. Şensoy stated that both students and citizens will be provided training and the center will focus on grain and seedling production where modern technology will be used.
Explaining that they are planning to run the center together with the private sector and to establish campuses related to animal husbandry, Şensoy stated that they are considering Balıkesir and Konya for this project. Şensoy noted that "World Horti Center" officials will come to Ankara next month and provide consultancy for the center in Antalya.
General Manager of Vocational and Technical Education Nazan Şener, General Manager of MEB Construction and Real Estate Umut Gür, Antalya Provincial Director of National Education Emre Çalışkan and Antalya Provincial Director of Agriculture and Forestry Gökhan Karaca has attended the meeting. Representatives of the agricultural sector and students at vocational training schools also took part in the meeting.
Şensoy also visited Antalya Advanced Technical School for Girls as part of his program. Şensoy visited the workshop area themed " The Mother of Coding in Mathematics: The Turkish Woman, " and got information about the projects.
Şensoy then toured the traditional coding workshop, which was held as part of the mathematics campaign initiated by the Ministry of National Education in cooperation with TÜBİTAK. Şensoy visited the felt factory, embroidery and doll workshops.
After the visit, Şensoy visited Antalya Governor Ersin Yazıcı and held consultation on education and training activities carried out in Antalya. Then, the signing ceremony of the charitable protocol regarding the change of Kepez Kütükçü MTAL name to Gülşen-Mehmet Fehmi Diktaş MTAL was held.
Deputy Minister Şensoy was accompanied by Nazan Şener, General Manager of Vocational and Technical Education of the Ministry of National Education, and Umut Gür, General Manager of Construction and Real Estate.
