With the beginning of the "controlled normalization process in education" based on the decisions taken during the Cabinet meeting, face to face education began for all pre-school, primary and 8th and 12th grade students throughout the country. Face to face education is carried out according to the criteria defined for low and medium risk cities.
The Ministry of National Education announced that tablet computer and internet access support for students will gradually continue during this process. Recently this week, 68 thousand and 242 tablet computers and monthly 25 GB internet access packages were delivered to students in 31 cities of the country. 20 thousand and 4 of these tablet computers were sent to boarding school students in 27 cities.
Within the framework of 9th phase of distribution, a total of 48 thousand and 237 tablet computers will be sent to Gaziantep, Van, Mardin and Şanlıurfa.
Minister Selçuk: EBA Support Points will be more active in this new term
Minister of National Education Ziya Selçuk had a video conference meeting with the provincial directors of cities where the tablets were sent and stressed that tablet computer and internet access support for students will gradually continue during the controlled normalization process and EBA Support Points will be more active in this new term.
"Today, we are enjoying the excitement of seeing more children at schools as a part of face to face education which began in February in village schools. Upon the sensitivity of our people to comply with mask, distance and hygiene measures, more children now have the opportunity to go to school," said Selçuk, "Today, face to face education began in the entire country for preschool, primary school, 8th and 12th grade students. In low and medium risk cities, children are going to school for certain days and hours within the framework of defined measures. But, there are still many children who could not get face to face education. TRT EBA television channels, EBA digital platform as well as printed and digital sources will continue in addition to face to face education. Moreover, we are expecting our children to continue to visit EBA Support Points which will give more active service and whose number reaches 14 thousand and 798. Computers having internet connection are ready for the use of children in these centers.
