Addressing teachers and students, Minister Özer said in his video message that: "A nine day long "mid-term break" between November 15 and 19 has started in face-to-face education which began on September 6. I hope that you enjoy the mid-term break and stay healthy."

Minister Özer stressed that the Ministry was determined to keep face-to-face education open adding that, "As you know, students and teachers met in the classrooms after a one and half year break on September 6. During the last two months, we achieved to continue full time face-to-face education in the entire country with utmost effort and care. There is no doubt that measures taken by teachers, parents and school administrations and high vaccination rate played an important role in this success. I would like to thank all who made contributions to our determination to keep schools open and teachers who acted like heroes of education during this process."

Özer asked teachers and students to keep following pandemic measures during the mid-term break and stated, "Dear Students, please do not stop wearing masks during the break and continue to obey Covid-19 measures. Mask, social distancing and hygiene rules have a direct impact in the continuation of face-to-face education. We know that you will come back to school with new experiences and knowledge at the end of the break and continue face-to-face education which is very important for the future of our country."

Mentioning about the sapling donation campaign launched on the occasion of Nov. 24 Teachers' Day, Minister Özer said, "Distinguished Teachers, Dear students, we have started this "A Sapling for My Teacher" campaign as a symbol of our gratitude to teachers.  President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan donated 1000 saplings. I would like to use this opportunity to congratulate the upcoming important day of teachers."

Minister Özer ended his message by saying, "I wish for a nice holiday with the excitement to know that face-to-face education will continue after the break during Teachers' Day week. Be safe and healthy."
