APPROXIMATELY 99 PERCENT OF TEACHERS WHO STARTED EXPERT AND HEAD TEACHER TRAINING PROGRAMS COMPLETED THEIR PROGRAMS

Minister of National Education Mahmut Özer announced that 98,64 percent of 614,390 teachers working in state and private schools who attended expert and head teacher training programs which was organized for the first time in Türkiye as a part of teaching career steps have completed their training programs.

Özer shared following information about training programs organized as a part of career steps of teachers: "98,71 percent of total of 543 thousand and 429 teachers who attended expert teacher training program; 98,08 percent of total of 70 thousand and 961 teachers and total of 98,64 percent of total of 614 thousand and 390 teachers have completed their training programs."

Minister Özer noted that his Ministry has been working in an effort to support the professional and personal development training programs of teachers and went on to say that: "All teachers who completed required training programs and succeeded in exams will become head or expert teachers. Teachers who completed masters and doctorate programs will be exempted from the exams."

Head Teacher Training Program Extended Till September 25

Meanwhile, Minister Özer reminded that 98 percent of teachers who attended head teacher training programs that ended on September 19 have completed their training programs adding that, "Some of teachers who failed to complete the head teacher training program request for time extension. We have decided to extend the period till September 25. I wish that this period will be blessed for all teachers."
